Hello! I'm Marcin and I work in game industry for about 4 years now since I always wanted to create games. Recently in my spare time I'm involved in learning backend in .NETCore.
Currently (since September 2017) I'm working at Gamedust where our main goal is to create immersive VR games. I worked on 3 titles since I joined the team.
The first project I was working on was Overflight
- an arcade dogfighting experience both for single and multiplayer.
Next project I worked on was port of company's first product Neverout
- a mysterious puzzle game where you are placed in a small claustrophobic room that has only one way out. I was responsible for porting the game from PSVR version to Xbox and UWP versions.
Our most recent project is Spuds Unearthed
- an action-strategy game where you create and command to an army of Spuds and help them to conquer enemy planetary systems with bizarre weapons.
In the project I was responsible for implementing core system of the game for connection with server, economy, interaction and logic using ECS architectural pattern (Entity Component System). Connection with the server in the first version of the game was implemented using REST Api calls, however
later on it was rewriten to enable real-time connection between players using SinalR library. In mid/end part of the project I was mostly involved in implementing and managing server-side (backend side) part of the code using .NET Core and AWS.
Until July 2017 I was working as Unity Developer at Codeaddict - small startup company located in Poznań, Greater Poland, Poland. At work I mainly focused on Android and iOS mobile games created in Unity game
engine. The products we created were predicated on the concept of simplicity, combined with nice design.
Previously I was employed at Bit Evil S.A. - which later on evloved into Codeaddict where I participated in 3-months stage, where I taught about developing games using Unity and libGDX framework.
I graduated Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań in April 2019 with Engineer degree in Computer Science.
